Progress

Well, the hood is done and ready to test. I did it. The first seeds are sown. I made two mother flasks of zygo mackayii. I would have made some paph mother flasks but I need coconut powder for them which I don't have yet. That should come next week sometime. So cross your fingers that there is no contamination. In a week I'll know if the hood is working right and if "I" am doing things right. I will try to do some more next week. I have 6 or 7 seed packets from crosses I have made over the past year. I harvested one capsule today (Sat.) just before it split. I thought it was a goner since the pod was totally browned. But when I opened it up, out poured lots of dry, tan-colored seed. Beautiful!
